My first job out of college was with Clampitt Paper, a paper distributor and paper mill rep in Austin, Texas. Aside from learning how paper is made, I got a complete education in paper grades, grains and finishes; envelope conversion; standard sheet and envelope sizes; and so much more.
Now anyone can get a basic education in paper through Clampitt Paper’s website. In the Education Center, you can check out standard envelope sizes complete with pictures, study the glossary of terms, convert paper sizes and much more. You can even download a competive grades chart that compares paperstock and how they can be used.If you happen to be near one of the company’s locations, you can even attend Paper School!
